- Nuria
Celena Montoya Salinas è nata il 2 marzo 1968 in Messico, risiede in
Sardegna dal 1998.
Nel 1990 consegue la laurea in Grafica pubblicitaria presso lo Iscytac di
Gomez Palacio (Messico).
Ha partecipato a diversi corsi, tra cui i più importanti il laboratorio
multidisciplinare per insegnanti all'Università José Vasconcelos de Durango
(1993); Summer Teacher Workshop Photography presso l'Art Institute of Dallas
(1994); Storia dell'arte, Università Juarez de Durango (1994); Corso
d'incisione, Poliart Studio di Cagliari (2000); Corso di pittura, scultura
ed inscisione nella Accademia di Pittura, Scultura ed Incisione
dell'Università Juarez di Durango (1994-19996).
Ha insegnato le discipline di disegno tecnico, grafica pubblicitaria e
pittura per ragazzi in formazione da 13 a 18 anni; il corso di fotografia
per adulti e l'atelier di sperimentazione grafica per bambini da 4 a 8 anni
in Messico e per 10 anni ha lavorato negli stessi campi.
Negli anni 2006-2007 ha svolto lezioni di pittura e disegno per la scuola
elementare di Golfo Aranci

“A mexican painter, Nuria Montoya, since '98 live in
Italy, prefer large formats and many panels (go to
“azebrato” or “il nodo” paint), use discard material,
pollutant, refuse collection and dyestuff to make her
paintings (go to “esqueletos” or “hallazgos” paint); she
works with these ingredients to help ecosystem, to do
one's bit for clean and hanging it to wall to watch it.

“I live in Italy since 1998.

I studied painting at the Art Academy of Durango in
Mexico. I am graphic designer and I do the professional
painter since i arrives in Italy. In this 6 years of
artistic activity I have learned so many things and also
i had great art satisfactions. I have appeared
approximately in 60 collective exhibitions and 3
Individual ones. I like to make great format an colorful
paintings. My pictures are a direct expression of my
intern serpents”.
